Oh Baby (Don't Say No, Say Maybe) is a 1923 song by Walter Donaldson with lyrics by Buddy DeSylva.〔David A. Jasen A Century of American Popular Music: 2000 Best-Loved and Remembered Songs (1899-1999) Routledge 2002〕 On December 21, 1923 it was recorded by Frank Crummit, vocal and ukulele, accompanied by Phil Ohman on piano, in New York, for the Victor label.〔http://www.loc.gov/jukebox/recordings/detail/id/9664/ retrieved 9/28/15〕 That same December it was recorded by Billy Jones for the Banner label.
